About:
The African Neonatal Network(ANN) is a partnership between the ANA and The Vermont Oxford Network (VON) and is a network of many diverse neonatal units in Africa that use a common standardised database as the base for a quality-improvement collaborative. It is piloting in five African Countries and has a faculty of national leads, QI experts, data experts and a nursing and family lead. It aims to build capacity for health informatics, clinical epidemiology and quality improvement in Africa. Once the data systems are in place and working well, the quality improvement collaborative will work through 7 discrete quality improvement projects addressing some of the lowest hanging fruit to improve neonatal outcomes in African neonatal units.
The ANN is an inclusive family and any unit can join and participate for free. We have resources and training available for free, and those units who would like to follow the path to full integration into our highest levels of the network can follow a structured and mentored path.
